The Association of Energy Engineers Certified Energy Manager® (CEM®) certification is ideal for engineers, building operators, facility managers, or any energy service professional who works in a related field.  This training will help to prepare you to take the CEM® exam, which will be held at the conclusion of the training.

Seminar Highlights

  • Learn how to optimize energy use and costs within non-residential buildings.
  • Understand how energy is purchased and then used in various systems (HVAC, Lighting, Motors, Boilers, etc.) throughout a building.

Understand the big picture on optimizing systems to reduce costs, improve profits and increase occupant satisfaction.

HLTA Engineers Advisory Council Logo

Aloha HLTA Members!

The HLTA Engineers Advisory Council provides a forum for the professional development of engineers in the hospitality industry. 2018 had a larger base of members with our allied members being allowed to join the council. This has brought more collaboration and more learning opportunities, while getting to know the Allied members who can provide additional products and services to our properties.

We expect to see the value of the Engineers Council grow even more in 2019. Participants will have access to the most up to date trends, concerns, health and safety information, latest energy technologies available, career opportunities, Scholarship opportunities and more.

While we count on the support of the director of engineers, the council also believes it’s important to have a role in succession planning. With this in mind, we have also included more of the up and coming assistant director of engineers, chief engineers, engineering managers, and supervisors into our membership. They will have an opportunity to participate in the sharing of ideas and best practices.

Annual membership dues are only $150.00 per HLTA member lodging property and you may designate up to five (5) individuals to represent your property. Dues for HLTA allied members are $150.00 and you may designate one (1) employee to represent your company. To join, SIMPLY CLICK THIS LINK.

As a member of the Engineers Advisory Council, you will receive an EAC membership roster, have access to materials on our website (https://hawaiiengineersadvisory.com), and enjoy a networking breakfast at every meeting (at least 6 meetings per year). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact:

Eric Au at: eric.au@marriott.com or
Jessica Caires at: (808) 923-0407 or e-mail: JCaires@hawaiilodging.org.

We look forward to your property/company being represented at our meetings.
